Role Summary/Purpose: GE, through Global Operations, is building solutions to reduce complexity in the Company’s processes, systems, and structures. Partnering with the GE businesses, we are aligning employees globally who work on our key finance, transaction, and compliance processes into one team to accomplish our mission. The Financial Accountant is responsible for financial reporting activities for divisions assigned to them and reports to the Country Financial Reporting Leader
Essential Responsibilities: Understand & own the recorded financial information of the divisions assigned to them.
 Understand and own all numbers recorded in the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss.
 Understand General Ledger interfaces with Sub Ledgers (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets and Intercompany Balances)
 Ensure correct recording of transactions as per GE’s internal codes
 Handle the division’s US GAAP reporting & coordinate with stakeholders (Business, Controllership, GE’s Headquarters & Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams)
 Perform the Monthly and Quarterly closing activities for the divisions assigned to them
 Provide inputs for financial audits and tax filings
Own the division’s Account Reconciliations
 Completeness – Compare account population in the Trial Balance versus Account Reconciliation Tool and ensure there are no differences
 Own the metrics (qualitative, quantitative & simplification)
-Manage Intercompany transactions (billings to and collections from related parties)
-Train and support the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) teams
 Respond to all account reconciliation related queries
 Train and support the teams on Closing & Reporting activities
 Review Manual Journal Entries prepared by the teams prior to posting into the General Ledger
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance (or a high school diploma/GED or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
Above 2 Years of work experience in Finance

– High degree of proficiency in Local GAAP and US GAAP
Good MS Excel skills
Demonstrable ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Simplification, Compliance and Controllership mindset
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
Customer Orientation – Ability to build good partnership with all stakeholders in the processes
